They rushed her to their clinic, she didn’t have much time left.

Her condition was very poor. The first thing they had to do was to kill the maggots. They put some powder on her wound and waited for the maggots to all die. Then they could clean the wound.

Shanti was also severely dehydrated, so they gave her IV fluids. Shanti was sedated so they could clean and dress her wounds.
