Before she left, Joyce made sure that the family got a copy of the photo – she gave her phone to the young girl, and soon the family had a lovely portrait.
Several days later Joyce got a text message from a phone number she didn’t recognize. It turned out to be a message from the man in the picture.
He thanked Joyce again for taking the picture and said that his wife (the woman in the photo) had died yesterday.
The photo Joyce took was the last picture they had of as a family. Isn’t that something? Be kind, be gentle. We don’t know what other people have going on in their lives. We all have some sort of battle inside.
