We have so much love to give, we give it to our four-footed, furry friends!
Most pet owners will do whatever they can to help their pets when they are sick.
Of course, we hope it never comes to that.
But to many of us, our pets are family.
About three years ago, Imgur user KingKizer’s father adopted a 4-month-old puppy from an animal shelter in California.
He named the puppy Max. Tragically, KingKizer’s father passed away.
KingKizer’s sister adopted Max.
She was an ex-vet technician and a military veteran.
Max at the time was about two and a half years old.
Back in Austin, Texas, Max was taken to a vet for a routine checkup.
The bloodwork showed that Max has cirrhosis of the liver and may not live for much longer.
KingK’zer’s sister spent about $15,000 to help Max and cover his medical expenses.
That is what family does for family. Max is now three and a half years old.
His most recent blood work was not at all encouraging.
It is estimated that Max may live for only one more month.
KingKizer said that at least his sister was able to give Max a real life.
He was part of a loving family and was a happy dog.
The family should rest assured that Max and their father will soon be reunited at the Rainbow Bridge.
They both will be healed and will spend eternity together.
