What would you do if you were walking past a bus stop and heard cries for help coming from inside a box that was all taped up?
A woman actually found herself in this situation, and she quickly decided that the cats inside deserved better and opened the box.
Inside the three small kittens were very excited that someone had opened the box.
The box had been sealed with duct tape and there was no way those kittens would have survived.
Not only that, the box had been left at a bus stop on a very hot day.
The kittens were overheated and rather scared.
The kind woman quickly took the kittens to the Mayhew Animal Home located in London.
Then, at the vet clinic, the kittens were examined and found to be in good health and the staffers estimated their age to be about 11 weeks.
Tania Mazzoni, an animal welfare officer at the Mayhew Animal Home, said in press release that had the person who abandoned the kittens had contacted them first.
The animal home would have been more than happy to help.
Mayhew Animal Home is dedicated to helping people and their animals who are in crisis.
The kittens were named James, Jackie, and Jenny.
All three, according to Jemma Gillard, the PR and Media Officer at the Mayhew Animal Home said they are “cheeky and playful.”
Happily, all three kittens have found loving forever homes.
Talk about a happy ending!
