A cop from the South Lake Minnetonka Police Department arrived at the scene to help, but wasn’t much more successful.

Two more police officers turned up after that, and it seemed hopeless – that is, until one of them shone a torchlight at the bird, which seemed to tell the intruder that it was time to go.
The turkey hopped off onto the railing of the porch, giving his could-have-been home a somewhat wistful look over his shoulder before he disappeared into the woods around the house.
