You can go camping in the suburbs of France – all you have to do is rent a cabin. Oh, and the cabins all look like owls! Don’t worry about the price of the cabin either, they are free to use! The Suburban Shelters or Les Refuges périurbains is a project started by Bruit du frigo, an architecture, and art studio located in Bordeaux, France.
The owl cabins are intended to remind visitors about forgotten parts of nature. They also help get people out of the cities and into the gorgeous countryside. The cabins also called “The Watchers” are tiny, so don’t bring a lot of stuff with you!
But, they are adorable inside and out – and make for a great adventure! The Suburban Shelters has more than just owls – they have a shelter called Neptuna which looks like a dollop of whipped cream, the Hammock, The High-Perched, The Beautiful Star and many, many more!
