Epsom salt is commonly used in bath water for soothing and healing properties.
But did you know it can do more than just that?
Epsom salt contains magnesium sulfate, which gives it lots of awesome benefits.
Here are 13 uses for Epsom salt:
1. Dry Lips
As the cold season becomes more intense, you might find your lips chapped and dry.
Mix a few spoonfuls of Epsom salt with Vaseline and use this as a lip scrub to get rid of dead skin and enjoy healthier lips!
2. Tiles
No one likes the gunk and grime that builds up in the tiles of kitchens and bathrooms.
Make a paste from dish soap and Epsom salt in equal parts and use it to clean your tiles for a quick, easy solution!
3. Bites and Itches
Mix Epsom salt and some water in a spray bottle for quick and easy injury relief.
This concoction will help with bee stings, rashes from plants like poison oak and ivy, and mosquito bites.
4. Constipation
Epsom salt has laxative properties as it helps attract water into the colon.
Mix a teaspoon in some water and drink. If it tastes too bad, stir in a little vanilla or lemon juice.
If you have a heart or kidney condition, check with your doctor first!
5. Sprains and Bruises
Soak a sore body part or an area with scrapes, bruises, or bumps in a soak of Epsom salt and warm water.
The salt contains plenty of minerals that bring down inflammation, boosting recovery!
6. Splinters
Dunk your finger in some Epsom salt and it will help pull wood out of the skin so you can tug it out.
If the area feels sore or irritated after, use a warm compress of Epsom salt and water to help soothe the discomfort.
7. Dishes
If you burn something and your pan is covered in stuck burned bits, just grab some Epsom salt!
Fill up the pan in question with some hot water, then stir in a couple of spoons of Epsom salt.
Allow to soak for a while, then rinse off and the burned food will come right off.
8. Hair
If you want some volume to your hair, mix your conditioner with Epsom salt in equal parts.
Lay the mixture all over your hair and leave for 20 minutes, then rinse.
This will get rid of excess oil and create full, volumized hair!
9. Muscles
Whether you’ve been working out too hard or you have a condition that causes muscle soreness, this hack will work for you.
Mix hot water and Epsom salt in equal parts and place in the fridge so it can cool. Then, rub onto your sore spots!

Just sprinkle it over any yellow or discoloured areas on the lawn.
You can also use this for apple trees, carrots, and beets to help them grow more healthily.
