Even though dogs have a coat of fur, they will still get cold during the winter if left outside without shelter. Some dogs can even get hypothermia and die outside during the winter. Some kind and thoughtful people in Istanbul, Turkey are doing what they can to help the homeless dogs in their city.
The temperatures have been dropping, and there has been heavy snow. Look at what is happening! The dogs are being given blankets to cuddle under and some cardboard to keep them off the cold ground! What a brilliant idea!
According to Ali Celik, there were three ‘angels’ there that day helping the dogs. Not only were the dogs covered with blankets, but each was given a handful of food. I can imagine the dogs thought they were in heaven!
To go from homeless, cold, and hungry to being fed and warm – well, two out of three ain’t bad! Celik said the people helping the dogs didn’t give their names.
