On March 21, 2014, Stephanie Latimer, a nature enthusiast was kayaking. Sounds fun enough – but when she looked up at the mountainside, she saw two Mexican Black Bears climbing the canyon wall. She recorded a video the momma bear and her cub climbing the Santa Elana Canyon and posted it! Now that is something you just don’t see every day.
I knew that bears could climb trees – but a rock wall? How awesome! For a second there, you have to feel a little nervous for the cub – he seems too small to be able to get up to the ledge where his momma went. But, he is on a mission, and nothing will stop him! He figures it out and makes it to the ledge!
