The poachers tragically got there first. Thankfully, the poachers didn’t harm any other animals at the sanctuary.
Charlie the hippo and Makhosi, another rhino, were shaken after the incident.
Since the attack, the animals have settled back into their routine, and everything is calm again.
They plan to increase security at the facility.
