The dog was named Lucy. She was in very bad shape when she arrived in Philadelphia. Her jaw had become infected, and she couldn’t eat.

Months later, Lucy is well on the way to recovery. She had reconstructive surgery to fix her physical problems. Lucy is still a little timid around men but is otherwise loving.
