Once they leave the safety of the nest, they may not be able to survive on their own. Often, the babies are found and taken to rehabilitation centers, which is nice, but it isn’t an ideal life for them.

Walk around your yard and identify fresh holes, be sure to check all the piles of brush carefully before raking them away.
