A 7-month old puppy was hit by a car. She was paralyzed and laying in a snowy ditch. Her body heat had created a hole in the snow. It also made it really hard for her rescuers to find her. Amber Perry from the Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society (AARCS) remembered that the dog was so deep that the dog couldn’t even see that help was on the way.
After waiting for twelve long hours in the snow, she was finally found and taken to the vet. Her pelvis was broken.
They have named the dog Nutmeg. She was lucky that a couple of teenagers that were going to a skate park saw her.
