Poisonous creatures of the wild have the ability to roam in urban environments – caution is advised to children while they play in specific areas, such as the local parks. One Caterpillar has a sting of a jellyfish under a furry disguise – the venomous and deceptive puss caterpillar.
This caterpillar was found in a local park by a mother and her daughter. Dr Nancy Hinkle, a ethnologist from the University of Georgia warns against touching the barbs which resemble cat hair – they contain drops of venom which could cause one seething pain when stung by them. They can also cause periods of sweating, nausea and general malaise.
