Christianna Willis works at an animal hospital and is familiar with animals and their ailments. One day a pit bull wandered up to the porch of her home in Nashville, Tennessee. Christianna gave the creature a quick health check – one of the first things she did was look into the dog’s mouth.

When she did, Christianna realized that the dog was in need of emergency care!

Some of the dog’s teeth had been removed, and others had been filed down – which means this dog was likely used as a bait dog in fighting rings.

The dog was clearly not a threatening creature and quickly bonded to Christianna – it didn’t take long for Christianna to promise the pit bull that no one would ever hurt her again.
