The video showcases the feeding ritual of humpback whales – called Bubble net feeding.
The whales are quite capable of feeding themselves, but when they join in, we can see that they are quite skillful!
One whale will dive down and swim around the fish, then blows out a steady stream of bubbles.
The other whales will head right for the fish, and the fish are caught!
The bubble net traps the fish, and the whales then enjoy their meal!
I wonder if this could be considered playing with one’s food?
