Natalie Walsh is a nurse and knows a few things about disease and illness. Walsh’s seven-year-old daughter had a headache that quickly turned out to be more than just a headache.
Soon her daughter’s temperature climbed to a dangerous level, and Walsh took her to the hospital.
She is sharing her story with everyone to spread the word about an illness that can sometimes baffle medical professionals – Lyme disease.
When Walsh first took her daughter to the hospital, they found a lump on her head everyone thought may be a spider bite.
They treated her for the bite and sent her home. But, it wasn’t a spider bite and the girl’s symptoms got worse.
Walsh took her daughter to a different medical facility, and they finally got the Lyme disease diagnosis.
