Graveley pointed out that mold can easily penetrate the bread – as if it had tentacles or roots. Yikes!
Mold needs a warm and humid environment to grow, which makes those bagged breads you buy at the store the perfect breeding ground for the fuzzy stuff. Mold and bacteria will typically grow together.
So eating bread after picking off the mold can make you very sick!
You can keep your bread in the refrigerator to prevent mold from growing. Or just freeze it. If you put the bread in a freezer bag, it will keep. You just have to let it come to room temperature on its own or toast it. That way you don’t have to worry about losing the bread or getting sick!
