Dogs are very curious, and they love being able to look around and investigate. Jennifer Bowman from California lives next door to one of these very interested dogs – a German shepherd named Penny.
Penny always wanted to see what was happening on the other side of the fence, and she wanted to say hello to Bowman while she was at it. So she would use her strong legs to leap up into the air as high as she could, just for a chance to glance over the fence in midair.

Bowman realized that it was probably a tiring exercise and didn’t provide that many rewards, so she decided to solve the problem. Using a power drill, she strategically placed holes in her fence – two for the pup’s eyes, and one for her nose!

Now, Penny can peek through the fence whenever she wants, and she has a full view of Bowman’s yard without expending too much energy. What a thoughtful gesture!
