In Virginia, a local firefighter trying to salvage a burning house came across a pup named Roxy, who laid unconscious behind a sofa. He sprang into action and brought her outside as quickly as he could, and got her emergency oxygen supply.
Thanks to him and his team, she along with her canine sibling Daisy were successfully rescued just on time. This made the local headlines when PETA presented Abingdon Volunteer Fire & Rescue with a Compassionate Fire Department Award to commemorate their bravery. The two dogs were present at the event as well!
