I am not an expert on horses, but I do know that their hooves require special care. One look at this Shetland pony and you can tell that someone failed miserably. The pony came to a sanctuary in Belgium and wasn’t able to walk well.
They estimated that his hooves hadn’t been cared for in ten (10) years!
The hooves made one and a half circles (540 degrees)! That is just ridiculous! The poor pony was hidden from view, so no one knew how miserable he was – except the cruel owner.
All of the animals the owner had were surrendered.
