Mom Goes To ER When App Says Baby Isn’t Kicking, Then Realizes She Just Saved Her Child’s Life

A second-time mother named Emily Eekhoff had downloaded a mobile application named ‘Count The Kicks’, formulated specially to help mothers keep track of their infants’ movements, courtesy of a non-profit organisation named Des Moines, which was headquartered in Iowa. One day, Emily noticed that her baby wasn’t kicking as much.

After observing for 4 hours, Emily made her way down to Mercy Hospital, where she entered the emergency room as her baby had her umbilical cord wound around her neck! The baby spent 20 days in the ICU, but was ultimately healthy enough to be reunited with her family – thanks to the baby kick counting application!
