An ailing but loving couple from South Dakota proven that love is truly eternal – with their sad passing. 86-year-old Henry and 87-year-old Jeanette De Lange, 1 year apart, were married for almost 6 decades and lasted longer than any couple would – amidst ups-and-downs in life. Henry was a Korean War Veteran, while his wife was a dedicated musician who had suffered from Alzheimer’s Disease. Due to her illness, she had to be placed in a nursing home.
Their son Lee stated that Henry would visit his wife 3 times a day, every single day of the week. However, Henry doesn’t have much time left to live either – he was diagnosed with prostate cancer. When the couple spent their last moments together, they were in the very same ward located in The Platte Health Center Avera. May the loving couple rest in peace.
