There are two possibilities – he ran away from home, or he was abandoned. He wasn’t emaciated, which means at one point he had been taken care of by someone. Happily, the dog had run off from his family.

His family looked and looked, but they couldn’t find him. His photo had been posted on lost and found pages. No one has any idea how he ended up getting stuck on that pile of sticks.
The best part of the story is that he has been reunited with his family!

Here you see him getting a hug from his human dad! What a stroke of luck that this dog was found in the first place. Things may not have had such a happy ending had he not been seen.
