An older dog was seen roaming the streets near a train station. The stray dog was depressed, cold, and scared.
Upon hearing about this situation, a local non-profit by the name of Howl Of A Dog decided to help.
Instead of trying to rescue him near the train tracks, they decided to redirect the dog to another location.
They feared that trying to save the dog near the train station could result in an unfortunate outcome.
The dog was skeptical of the rescuers and ran away each time one of the volunteers got too close. Eventually, he got comfortable enough to walk towards one of the rescuers.
He realized quickly that they were only there to help. As the older dog approached, the rescuers noticed that he had an injury in his left eye and on his foot.
The stray dog eventually allowed the rescuers to pet him. He was clearly tired of living a life on the streets. He was prepared to go wherever the volunteers wanted to take him.
The dog was cooperative throughout the entire process and didn’t even flinch when the volunteers placed a leash around his neck.
The rescuers took the injured dog straight to a veterinary clinic to receive an examination and proper medical attention.
The vet decided to scan the dog to see if his owners had inserted a microchip. Surprisingly, the dog did have a tracking device.
This meant that he could be reunited with his family. After talking with the owner, the non-profit realized that the dog’s name was Bobi.
He had run nearly 10 miles away from home. Instead of reacting with excitement, the owner was surprisingly disinterested.
In fact, the owner asked the rescuers at Howl Of A Dog if they could keep Bobi.
Bobi is a sweet pet who is energetic and lively for a nine-year-old dog. He is vaccinated, neutered, and even has a microchip.
This loving and gentle dog is currently searching for a loving family with which to spend his later years. It is clear that Bobi was injured in one of his eyes.
There is an old scar that would indicate some sort of incident although the rescuers aren’t exactly sure what happened.
Bobi is blind in the injured eye, but he can see perfectly out of the other eye. Howl Of A Dog is currently searching for potential owners to adopt this special dog.
