The new Charles Kuonen Suspension Bridge in Switzerland is 279 feet high and is already terrifying for potential pedestrians. It has a gap of 1621 feet and holds the world record for the longest pedestrian suspension bridge. It also stands as one of the most expensive bridges to build, costing $775,000 in total.
As the old bridge had been damaged by a rockslide, a new bridge was built to replace it. It is named after its primary sponsor who is a renowned Swiss psychologist and the co-owner of a Swiss winery. This new bridge covers the valley between the towns of Zermatt and Grächen. It has also been built higher to prevent damage from potential rockslides.
