Mothers are always protective of their young and give them unconditional love. One mother, Zoe is a good example. Zoe and her puppy Meadow, were found and named by the volunteers working with the organisation “Hope for Paws”.
Zoe’s owners abandoned and left her behind when they relocated so she was left on the streets to fend for herself, feeding on leftovers that humans left in trash bins. Although a kind soul has made her a home out of bin, she was still left there. Eventually, Zoe mated and gave birth to a litter of puppies. Unfortunately, most of her puppies were stolen from her by children in the neighborhood, leaving only Meadow.
Eldad Hagar and Lisa Chiarelli, two volunteers working with Hope for Paws, found them.
However, getting them out was not easy because Zoe did not trust them.
She was especially wary of humans after having her puppies stolen from her.
They managed to coax the dogs out with hamburgers eventually.
