A diamond in the rough. You have likely heard that saying before and it popped into my head when I found out this story. Two good Samaritans found a kitten along the side of the road in Japan in May 2016. The tiny creature was soaking wet and filthy, so, they picked him up and took him home.
Here you can see just how tiny the little guy was, he fit into the palm of someone’s hand!
The veterinarian gave them some medication to treat his upper respiratory infection and slowly but surely, the kitten’s health improved.
Here you see his eyes already look better!
In just a few weeks, the kitten’s weight doubled!
When he was rescued, he weighed only 200 grams, but when he was five months old, he tipped the scales at 8.8 pounds!
