The national anthem is a critical part of virtually every sporting event that happens in the United States.
From the high school level all the way up to the pros, fans have come to expect that the national anthem will be played and sung before the event begins.
This is what spectators must have been expecting when they arrived to watch the Ohio Division III District Wrestling Championships.
However, there was a snafu in the proceedings.
It seems that the person who was supposed to sing the national anthem did not show up, and there appeared to be no recording available to play.
When high school Junior Isaac Bryant realized this, he decided that he needed to do something.
It didn’t matter to him that he was going to be competing in this tournament and that he should be focusing on his match.
He could not let the journey begin until he was able to belt out the national anthem for those in attendance.
It was a stirring performance for the audience to take in.
They understood that he was not the one who was scheduled to sing at the event, but they also knew that he had stepped up to the plate to make sure the anthem of his nation was sung.
The story was so moving that it generated some 550,000 views on YouTube at the time of this writing.
It also got the attention of national news programs such as “Fox & Friends”.
This was a big story for an area of Ohio and an event that otherwise would not have received any national attention.
Bryant’s mother told Fox News anchors that her son singing the anthem brought tears to her eyes and that she was very moved by what he had done.
She insisted that this is just the kind of person that her son is.
It is very easy for people to get nervous about singing the anthem even if they are the person scheduled to do so.
It is easy to forget the words as your nerves get the best of you.
However, Isaac Bryant had no problem with this at all and delivered an amazing performance.
