This is one of the world’s most notorious zoos, and it is located in Cumbria, England. More than 500 animals have been reported dead over the past 4 years, and has attracted the attention of both animal lovers worldwide and the Captive Animals’ Society (CAPS).
Founded by a man named David Gill, the South Lakes Safari Zoo had fallen to various inspections led by CAPS due to the onslaught and overwhelming number of accusations thrown at the management – with reference to the zoo’s animal abuse.

Lions and tigers alike, were kept in the same conditions – wooden fences with four walls. The wild cats had no space to run or play, let alone any simulation.

The zoo was infamous for its lack of accountability since it begun operating – several animal deaths were simply shrugged off.
