Cadence has had a very difficult life. She was rescued from the streets by the kind folks at Hope For Paws. It didn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out with one look that Cadence had been used as a bait dog for dog fighting. It took patience and a lot of sweet talking to get Cadence in the car and to a veterinarian for immediate help.

Bait dogs live short and tortured lives, they are used to help train other dogs to fight. As a bait dog, Cadence was never allowed to fight back, she had to take the abuse night after night and day after day – for who knows how long!
