Even the friendliest of creatures has limits as some Chinese tourists learned in Canada over a weekend. A hungry sea lion actually pulled a little girl into the water! The video was shot by Michael Fujiwara, a resident of Vancouver. You will see some tourists watching the sea lions at Steveston Harbor, then you see the little girl in the red and white dress.
One brave Californian sea lion swims right up to the dock… the girl sits down near him with her back turned. The sea lion strikes and soon the girl is in the water! An older man, presumably a family member, jumps in and gets the girl to safety! Director of UBC’s Marine Mammal Research Unit, Andrew Trites, suggested that the sea lion thought the girl’s dress was a fish.

This just goes to show you that humans are not that smart when it comes to interacting with wildlife.
