Hope For Paws was called to help Oakley, a dog living in and around a hospital parking lot. Eldad wasn’t able to catch Oakley during the day, so he came back at night to try to get her and bring her in. Eldad was able to sneak up behind her and slip a leash around her neck – but Oakley wasn’t going to be taken so easily!
She ran! And Eldad was still attached! Oakley was barking her displeasure as the two ran and Eldad was trying to be reassuring (anyone who runs knows that being calm and running and trying to talk are not things that just naturally go together)!
Eventually, Oakley calmed down and she was taken to the Hope For Paws facility. Eldad gave her a bath and took her home so she can learn to trust people again. All that Oakley needs now is her own forever home!
