Pets can bring so much joy and happiness into the lives of their families. There’s no better proof of this amazing power that animals have than Kinako, the cute little ginger cat who was brightened the lives of and brought endless love to the family of Akiko DuPont.
DuPont’s 94-year-old grandfather Jiji fell sick in 2009 after 64 years of working hard and never missing a day’s work.
Even as he recovered, Jiji became depressed and grumpy, slowly losing interest in the world around him.
But then DuPont brought Kinako into the family, and everything changed.
The kitty was quite a shy one, but he took a liking to Jiji almost immediately. It’s almost as though he chose Jiji as his favorite person right away!
