Casey was on the ground with red foam coming out of his mouth. Canyon ran for help, but the time he and his parents got back, Casey was dead.

The cyanide in the trap had made it impossible for Casey to absorb oxygen, he was suffocated to death.

Canyon was covered in the powder too – they had to get all of his clothes off and rush him to the emergency room. This is a very scary thing. The Mansfields had no idea that these poisonous traps were so close to their home.
It was too late to save the poor dog.
