The tricky part would be taking the tick out of your dog’s mouth, especially if your dog isn’t too happy about you messing around in there.
Open your pooch’s mouth and check for ticks this season.
The American Kennel Club says you can use a pair of fine-point tweezers to remove the pests. Removing the tick is the same as if you found one on yourself.
Simply grab it as close as you can to the skin and pull upward, gently. Be sure to clean the area where the tick was with some alcohol and wash your hands when you are done. If you are unable to do it, take your dog to the vet.
