One look at this dog buried under the dirt near a grave marker and your heart will probably sink. The photo was taken in 2015 and quickly became a sensation on Facebook because everyone who saw the dog in Serbia assumed that she was mourning the loss of her owner.
The big German Shepherd made her own den near her former owner and would spend most of her days there. Turns out that the dog wasn’t really grieving, she had had a litter of puppies hidden in the den!
Vesna Mihajloski solved the mystery and took the momma dog and all her babies home with her. There was little food or water for the momma dog at the cemetery, and Vesna was able to provide the momma a home and a well-deserved break.
