The chains on Duke were also strangulating him, causing him to wheeze and gasp for air. It also damaged his fur and skin, as the collar was actually in the form of shackles, and rusted on the poor pooch.

Duke was slowly nursed back to health, and got the corrective surgeries he needed for his paws.

After he recovered, Duke was ready for adoption – and a woman all the way from the UK, named Diana Romaine offered to take him in!

Duke lived a great life with his new owner – look how happy he is today, with a human who is just as proud of him as he is with himself! Adopt and don’t shop, folks.
