There are many stories of animal cruelty in the world but few are as important and heartwarming as that of the dog that did not even look like a dig.
At the age of five, a dog called Dobby was spotted by rescuers from the Concerned Citizens for Animal Welfare group when they spotted what they thought to be a dog, but couldn’t be sure.
After spending a little time with Dobby, the rescuers began to see the loving animal was literally starving to death and had lost almost all the hair from its body.
Concerned by the continuing starvation of Dobby, the rescuers began to take more of an interest and discovered Dobby’s hair had fallen out because of the low-quality flea treatments he was given by his owner.
The group quickly made their case to the owner that Dobby was better off in their care to be nursed back to health by specialists at the clinic operated by Concerned Citizens for Animal Welfare and their network of local veterinarians.
One member of the group, Sara managed to make a fast and lasting connection with Dobby leading to her taking a special interest in nursing him back to health.
Despite the many stories of mistreated animals becoming resentful towards humans, Dobby enjoyed his first bath and trip to the vet with a happy demeanor he maintained throughout his recuperation.
Sara helped nurse Dobby back to health and was amazed at the happy, loving temperament he maintained all the time.
In a short time, Dobby began to return to health by gaining weight and seeing his hair begin to grow back before he was allowed to find a forever home.
A Facebook post from Pawsabilities Rescue group was the catalyst for the final, happy change in the life of Dobby.
The rescue group posted his photo and details Online and linked Dobby with Liz Ford and her family who have given Dobby his forever home and made him a happy dog after years of neglect.
