There is no such thing as a perfect crime. Eventually, you will be found out. But, if you were to commit a crime, the last thing you should do is make it too easy for the cops to find you. For example, you shouldn’t leave your dentures behind after raping someone. But a Tennessee man did just that.
Thomas Maupin, 67, raped a 31-year-old woman on August 19, 2001. On July 24, Shelby County Criminal Court Judge Lee Coffee gave him an eight-year jail term for his crime. The attack occurred when Maupin pushed his victim into an alley after getting out of his car.
Maupin stabbed her under the chin with some kind of metal instrument, which punctured the roof of her mouth.
