The poor dog you see in the photo was left to die in Newburgh, New York. The two people who did this to the dog were apparently her owners. Luna, the dog, was found dead behind an abandoned property owned by the city. Luna’s body was found when neighbors in the area reported a foul odor coming from the property.

The two people responsible have not been identified, yet. Authorities are hoping that someone can identify them from the security camera photo shown here. As if the death of this dog isn’t tragic enough, there are reports that indicate city maintenance workers often visited the site – Luna’s life could have been saved!

Once again, humanity failed. Luna’s last days on earth were pure torture. She died cold, hungry, and alone. Anyone with information about Luna’s owners is urged to contact the Hudson Valley SPCA. Rest in Peace, Luna.
