In a animal reserve and rescue facility named Wildlife Friends Foundation Thailand (WFFT) located in Phetchaburi, show, an unusual pair is famous for being best friends. They’re a cow and a tortoise, and they have been together since a few years back.
Leonardo the African spurred tortoise has been a resident at the animal rescue facility since 2013 – he was previously in a zoo. In February 2016, he then met Simon, who was a young calf back then.
Simon was rescued by WFFT when he got himself tangled amongst some vines – while grazing with his mother.
Due to the struggle with the vines, Simon lost his leg – and had a prosthetic fitted on him.
