Take a look at this woman. She calls herself a mother – but in reality, she is a monster. This is Brandy K. Jaynes, 36, from Tocqueville, Utah. She mercilessly locked her son in a bathroom and actually left him inside there for a year.
When the boy’s father found him, he weighed just 30 pounds and was too weak to even stand up. Jaynes has been arrested and charged with aggravated felony second-degree child abuse. You may be wondering what prompted this woman to lock her son up.
Well, there is no good reason. Jaynes claims it was for his own good. The boy had one thin blanket with him in the bathroom. The police also found an empty can of beans. Jaynes had set up a monitor in the bathroom so she could monitor him, and she had covered the light switch with duct tape so it couldn’t be turned on.
This amount of effort shows planning and a lot of malice. Jaynes had two other children (siblings to the boy) living in the home with her. She probably could use him as an example. If the other two didn’t behave, she could threaten to lock them up too.
In a pitiful and despicable defense, Jaynes said the boy was locked in there because he liked it and it was for his own safety. How is locking a child in a small room for his own safety? Thankfully, the boy is expected to recover, he will spend a few weeks recovering in the hospital.
Share away, people.
