When you’re about to go into an inn at night, you’d probably be looking forward to a good shower and a nice bed to relax in while you unwind with the help of the TV. What you’re probably not looking forward to is being completely tackled by a random wild animal. Hey, they do say to expect the unexpected!
Cary McCook arrived at the Stork’s Nest Inn in Smithers, British Columbia, and was dropped off by a colleague at the entrance. But as he disembarked and began to walk towards the doors, his backpack slung over his shoulder, he caught a glimpse of movement out of the corner of his eye. He looked and only had a split second to register a deer rushing towards him.

The next thing he knew, McCook was barreled over as the deer crashed right into him, knocking him to the ground. Luckily, he was unscathed apart from a sore shoulder. That’s one warm welcome he got!
