Not only did Cotton have mange, but he was also dehydrated and malnourished. No one knows how long Cotton had been suffering (and blind). Cotton was given antibiotics, and Carmen took him home.
Despite being in such poor condition, Cotton was in good spirits (he had purred throughout the entire exam). A few days later, Cotton showed signs of improvement – and just look at those beautiful eyes!

At first, Cotton was a little shy, but he soon flourished. He was gaining weight, and his hair was starting to grow back.
