Camel spiders eat a variety of other animals, from small insects to larger rodents and even snakes and scorpions. The toxins from any poisonous creatures they eat doesn’t affect them in any way.

It all sounds pretty scary, admittedly, but there’s good news. Camel spiders aren’t interested in hurting human beings, and if they do bite you out of fear, they’re not venomous, so you won’t be in danger.

Much more research is needed to fully understand them, and they require almost luxurious accommodation in order to live well. Much is left to be learned about this mysterious arachnids!
