While out enjoying mother nature on a rural road just outside Little Rock, Arkansas, Bret Winingar and his son Zach saw a dog kennel sitting in the tall grass. It was badly damaged and just sitting in the field.

They approached the kennel hoping that it was empty. It wasn’t. Inside the kennel was a dog. You can see that the dog had desperately tried to get out. It had chewed a hole in the plastic.

How long had this poor dog been there? The dog inside was still alive, but he wasn’t in very good shape.

Being deprived of food and water for an unknown length of time. The dog was covered in his own urine and feces. The Winingars were not going to leave him here like this. The two men were on motorcycles, so they went and got some food.
