Due to the abuse, Mingky was aggressive and distrustful of humans. He even had to be tranquilized for the OIC to save him.

Mingky is currently recovering at the Sumatran Orangutan Conservation Program (SOCP).

Should he make a full recovery, Mingky will be able to return to the wild once he is older.
