ATM stands for Automated Teller Machine, it is also called a minibank, cashline, or cashpoint in other countries. There are approximately 3 million ATMs in operation around the world. I try to avoid using ATMs because of the fee that sometimes gets added to any transaction. But, it is sometimes necessary to use one.
But, there is a new scam out there that you need to be aware of. What will happen is your identity gets stolen. See this picture? Looks like an ATM, right?
It was found at a gas station in Houston, and it is not a real ATM, it is called a skimmer. It will take your card, and get your PIN.
Then anyone who has that info can use the money in your bank account. See this box?
It is a camera that is recording the numbers as you type your PIN on the keypad.
