They both got on the ground and Angel laid on top of Gianna. The soon were both unconscious as the fire raged. A neighbor called 911, and eventually, Angel and her daughter were rescued and taken to the hospital.
Vinny and Rosalie were treated and released only having suffered minor injuries.
Gianna, thanks to her heroic mother, only suffered second-degree burns, but Angel has second and third-degree burns over half of her body.
She spent weeks in critical care but was sent home five weeks after the fire. Never underestimate the ability for people to be heroes in intense situations!
